You will be shocked at how delicious and easy this Beer Bread is. With ingredients you probably have in your pantry and fridge already – this is a great bread to memorize and make all the time. It gets made at my house with soups, as breakfast bread (add a touch of cinnamon yum!), or just bread to enjoy with your friends. It’s delicious!

It is super easy – mix all of the ingredients and then add the beer! I usually use a Dark IPA, but this Ultra did the job nicely! (note: this is a 20 oz. can – I only used 12 oz. of it).
Sifting flour for bread recipes is a must-do.
Part of the recipe is about sifting flour. Sifting flour for bread recipes is a must-do. Most people just scoop the 1 cup measure in the flour canister and level it off. That compacts the flour and will turn your bread into a “hard biscuit”. That’s because they aren’t sifting their flour! If you do not have a sifter, use a spoon to spoon the flour into the 1 cup measure. Just try it! You’ll totally agree.

Lastly, pour the butter over the mixture in the loaf pan. Don’t be shy! I have made it using 1/2 a stick and a full stick and definitely like it better WITH the full stick! It just makes the top of the bread so crunchy and ‘fat’ always makes things better right?

Beer Bread
Description
This is literally the easiest bread ever! I make it quick when friends are coming over, when I’m cooking a stew to soak up the goodies, and makes a great bread for toast. Seriously you will not be disappointed in this bread!
Ingredients
- 3 cups flour (sifted – super important that it is sifted)
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 tablespoons salt (one in mixture and one on top before baking)
- 1⁄4 cup sugar
- 1 (12 ounce) can beer
- 1⁄2 cup melted butter (1/4 cup will do just fine)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Mix SIFTED dry ingredients then add the beer.
- Pour into a greased loaf pan.
- Pour melted butter over mixture and sprinkle 1 tbsp salt on top.
- Bake 1 hour, remove from pan and cool for at least 15 minutes.
Notes
Pro Tip: This recipe makes a very hearty bread with a crunchy, buttery crust. If you prefer a softer crust (like a traditional bread) mix the butter into the batter instead of pouring it over the top.
