Choosing the Right Seasoning:
Weber Seasonings offers a range of tantalizing options that bring out the best flavors in your grilled dishes. For our Fourth of July celebration, we’ll be using their classic “Kick’n Chicken” seasoning. This blend of herbs and spices adds a delightful kick to your chicken, ensuring a burst of flavor in every bite.
Prepping the Grilled Chicken:
Now that we have our seasoning of choice, it’s time to prepare the star of the show – the chicken! And then begin by selecting high-quality chicken pieces, such as bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs or drumsticks. I’m using Chicken Legs in my recipe!
Give the chicken a quick rinse under cold water and pat it dry with paper towels. Next, generously sprinkle the Weber “Chophouse Butter” seasoning over the chicken pieces, ensuring an even coating on all sides. Lastly, drizzle with a bit of honey! This will give it a nice caramelization on the grill.

Grilling to Perfection:
With the chicken marinated and the grill properly heated, it’s time to embark on the final step – grilling the chicken to perfection. Place the seasoned chicken directly on the preheated grill, skin-side down. Let the chicken cook for about 6-8 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). The skin should turn beautifully golden and crispy, while the meat remains tender and juicy.
Pro Tip: If you don’t have a grill, use that Air Fryer! Just make sure that your grilled chicken gets to 165 degrees.
The Finishing Touches:
Once your chicken is cooked to perfection, carefully remove it from the grill and allow it to rest for a few minutes. This resting period ensures that the juices redistribute, resulting in a moist and succulent chicken.
As you prepare to serve, get creative with your presentation – I love grilling a bit of pineapple with my chicken which adds fun color and a burst of flavor! Then, arrange the grilled chicken on a platter garnished with fresh herbs, lemon or lime wedges, and a sprinkle of the Weber “Chophouse Butter” seasoning. The vibrant colors and enticing aroma will surely impress your guests.
