In the fast-paced world we live in, waiting is often seen as an inconvenience, a delay in our plans and desires. The waiting period for Christian women can be hard, lonely and sometimes even daunting. As we navigate the journey of life, the concept of waiting might be all too familiar. Whether it’s waiting for a life partner, a career breakthrough, or a dream to come to fruition – waiting can be hard. But what if we shifted our perspective on waiting and began to see it as a time of preparation rather than a mere delay in gratification?
The Waiting period for Christian Women is a time of renewal and growth
Isaiah 40:31 (NLT): “But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.”
Just like an eagle uses the waiting period to molt its old feathers and gain new strength, we, too can use this time to shed our old limitations and gain spiritual and emotional growth.
Waiting produces a patience so we can run the race and finish it
Psalm 27:14 (NLT): “Wait patiently for the LORD. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the LORD.”
Waiting calls for courage. Faith means we trust God’s timing and purpose. Especially when our desires remain unfulfilled. This waiting period for Christian women is a time that will refine the fruit within us and remind us of the importance of leaning on God’s promises.
Waiting will always lead us to God’s ultimate design
Proverbs 3:5-6 (NLT): “Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.”
Waiting challenges us to surrender our own understanding and plans to God’s greater purpose. It’s during these times that we can seek His will more fervently and allow Him to guide us to the path He has prepared for us.
The waiting period for Christian women is inevitable.
Romans 8:25 (NLT): “But if we look forward to something we don’t yet have, we must wait patiently and confidently.”
Viewing this time as a time of preparation requires patience and confidence. Our hope should rest in God’s promises, knowing that His plans are far greater than what we can envision. Remember, God is in control, and through our waiting, our patience is honed. This period of anticipation isn’t a delay but a preparation. Embrace it as we wait. Each day we wait, we are being shaped into stronger, more resilient versions of ourselves to be used for our perfect mission at our perfect time.
As Christian women in the prime of our lives, let’s embrace the beauty of waiting. Instead of viewing it as a delay, let’s consider it a season of preparation. Just as a seed requires time in the soil before it can sprout and grow, our waiting period is a necessary time for spiritual growth, refining our character, and aligning us with God’s perfect plan. So let’s wait patiently, trusting that God is using this time to shape us into the women He has destined us to be.
